Twister's Revenge

In a low-budget, low-quality, low-entertainment-value re-imagining of Knight Rider with monster trucks Twister’s Revenge offers a cure for insomnia. This thing nearly put me to sleep.
Sherry is a techie with the prowess to design some technology that will turn monster truck driver Dave’s truck Twister into a KITT-like talking machine with artificial intelligence. A group of low-lifes learn of the computer equipment Sherry and Dave have and set out to steal it.
The first half of the movie is the crooks trying one failed attempt after another to steal the technology – usually thwarted by their own stupidity. When they finally manage to kidnap Sherry they hold her for ransom. So the second half of the movie is Dave and Twister teaming up to find and rescue Sherry. That’s the idea, anyway, they actually spend most of their time wrecking the bad guys’ stuff and are highly ineffectual at learning information about Sherry’s whereabouts. I guess they want to try Hulk's methods: smash now, ask questions never.
It’s a monster truck bonanza that culminates in a face off between Twister and a tank. If you want to see a truck knocking down outhouses and running over cars check it out. Unfortunately the fun is tainted by terrible acting, pitiful attempts at comedy, and a weak story. In one scene not only can a girl outrun a truck but is actually able to actually lose her purser in an open field!??? Uh huh…
MORALITY:
There’s some strong language throughout and a small amount of mild sexuality.
Violence is virtually nil (except maybe the kidnapping scene) despite all the shooting and explosions. It’s clear that no one ever gets hurt.
SPIRITUALITY:
Trucks are people, too.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Seriously, unless you LOVE monster trucks and don't mind a laughably bad movie steer clear of this one.
