Releases Reviewed:
Black Hooker is one to skip. It barely has any presence in the DVD market.
There is one DVD option aside from the multi-movie pack I'll detail momentarily. There is no HD option.
I got mine in the Drive In Movie Classics 50 pack.
Video:
1.33: This is the TV standard ratio (which is most likely the original ratio). The video on this one is out of focus, very trashy, and has dull colors.
Audio:
2.0 mono: The audio is tolerable but weak with some occasional crackling and popping.
Packaging:
The packaging from this company changes from time to time, but mine has each disc in a paper sleeve. All of those fit into a large plastic case. You can read more details of the set as a whole in the Drive In Movie Classics buying guide.
A Mill Creek logo pops up every so often to make this viewing experience even more unbearable.
Extras:
There are no extras of any kind.
Other Editions:
The stand-alone DVD gives absolutely no details about what it offers. I'm going to guess that it has the same 1.33, mono presentation I detailed above. Don't expect any better quality. Reviews I saw only focused on the movie itself and made no mention of the presentation quality. There are no extras mentioned.
Final Thoughts:
Do yourself a favor and do NOT get this DVD. If, for some insane reason, you have it in your head to see this movie at least get the Drive In Movie Classics pack so you get a low cost per movie. Even the annoying logo that pops up is worth dealing with to avoid spending any significant amount of cash on this thing.
