Releases Reviewed:

Buried Alive, the one from the 30's, may be hard to track down. It doesn't have much of a presence in the DVD market, and searches usually turn up pages worth of results that have nothing to do with this particular movie.

There is a DVD available, and it's included in the Night Screams multi-pack.

I saw it as part of the Night Screams 50 pack.

Video:

1.33: This is the TV standard ratio. The image is very trashy and is shaky at times. It's a rough presentation.

Audio:

2.0 mono: The audio is marred by white noise. It's also distorted though not terribly so.

Packaging:

The discs are in individual sleeves which all fit into a large plastic box.

The sleeves offer plot summaries, release dates, and headlining stars. These details aren't always accurate, and I learned in past sets from this company not to rely on them.

Extras:

There are none.

Other Editions:

The DVD is by Alpha Video. There is no mention of remastering or extras. I couldn't find any helpful reviews, either. Unless someone who has seen it says otherwise I would expect a presentation comparable to the one I described above.

Final Thoughts:

You might be able to find the DVD at a decent price, but the Night Screams 50 pack may be a better alternative if you can get it at a reasonable rate.
