This first set of Animaniacs includes the first 25 episodes.

1)

De-Zanitized

Dr. Scratchensniff recounts meeting the Warners for the first time and the failed attempts to bring them into submission.

Also check out The Monkey Song and Nighty-Night Toon (a bedtime story kind of poem with an Animaniacs twist).

2)

Cookies For Einstein

The Warners attempt to sell cookies to Albert Einstein who is frustrated at not being able to unlock the secret of relativity. The kids are determined to sell this nice man some cookies whether he wants them or not.

Win Big

Pinky & the Brain try to win money on a game show, but Pinky's obsession with TV becomes a hindrance.

Yakko’s World

This is the song with the names of all the nations – proof of the sheer brilliance of the writers of this series.

3)

HMS Yakko

The Warners trespass on a pirate’s island who wants to know how they perform their cartoon antics (one of the few musical parodies that I really like).

Slappy Goes Walnuts

Slappy goes to Doug the dog’s house for some walnuts and abuses him as he attempts to capture her.

Yakko’s Universe

This is a song that muses about the immense size of the universe.

4)

Hooked on a Ceiling

The Warners help Michelangelo paint naked people on the Sistine Chapel.

Goodfeathers The Beginning

Squit wants to be a Goodfeather (ring any bells? Goodfellows?) and is given a test to prove himself.

5)

Taming of the Screwy

The Warners are invited to a studio-wide party if Scratchensniff can teach them to behave properly. The Warners behaving? Yeah, right. This is one of the few stories that take an entire episode to tell and is brilliant.

6)

Temporary Insanity

Plotz’s secretary is sick and the Warners are his temps. He’ll never live to regret it.

Operation Lollipop

Mindy’s lollipop sticks to the side of the mail truck and she takes off to get it back. Buttons frantically follows.

What Are We

This is a song that wanders what kind of animals the Warners are. Wait until you hear what they actually are!

7)

Piano Rag

The Warners are running from Ralph and Scratchensniff and end up in a piano concert. The pianist (played by John Rhys Davies), who is hilariously full of himself, faces off against the noisy Warners.

When Rita Met Runt

Rita meets Runt in the pound and the two make their attempt to escape.

8)

The Big Candy Store

The Warners meet a nasty man who runs a candy store. Poor, poor mr. jerkface who should be nice to little kids.

Bumbie’s Mom

Skippy is freaked out over Bumbie’s mom getting shot (Bumbie=Bambi get it?). Slappy tries to convince him it was only a movie, but the only way he’ll believe her is if they go visit the actress to see that she’s still alive and well.

Also we get an introduction to Colin who tells the craziest stories about his pal Randy as well as a Gilligan’s Island theme parody.

9)

Wally Llama

The Warners travel to meet the all-knowing Wally Llama. Wally doesn’t want to be bothered right now, but the Warners aren’t so easily deterred. They must MUST have an answer to their all-important, life-defining question.

Where Rodents Dare

Pinky and the Brain crash a meeting of world leaders in an attempt to freeze them and take over the world.

10)

King Yakko

Yakko is named king of Anvilania. A neighboring kingdom sees the child leader as a pushover ripe for a take-over. When Yakko scares away his own army no one is left to fight his side of the war except the 3 siblings.

-Michael McKean and Christopher Guest guest star as the dictator and his sidekick. This is another episode-length story, and if you don't laugh at it there's something severely wrong with you.

11)

No Pain No Painting

The Warners are determined to be Picasso’s next models, but the painter is not interested. The kids, however, may have the key to his next and most famous art style.

Les Miseranimals

Runt is being chased by the authorities and Rita is in a cat pen about to be ground up for restaurant meat. It’s Runt to the rescue if he doesn’t get himself caught first.

-This is a musical parody of Le Miserabe (spelling?) and is not one of my favorite moments of the show.

12)

Garage Sale of the Century

The Warners want to buy the garage from a crooked man (Ed Asner) having a garage sale. He can’t get rid of the kids nor the people that he’s swindled.

West Side Pigeons

Squit falls in love with a sparrow - rivals of the Goodfeathers. As the gangs face off Squit pursues love.

-This is another musical parody (which I tend to not like much) in the vein of West Side Story.

13)

Hello Nice Warners

The Warners meet a director that wants them in a movie. They have creative differences, and the Warners decide to direct their own movie. Hilarious abuse ensues.

La Behemoth

Flavio and Marita take their housekeeper for granted. When the help has had enough and leaves the Hippos can’t find anyone else willing to work for them. They are inept at household chores calling into question their very survival.

-Yet another musical parody here, slightly funnier than some of the others but still not my favorite.

Little Old Slappy From Pasadena

This is the oldies song (not a remake or parody) with video of Slappy behind the wheel.

14)

La La Law

The Warners decide to go LA Law and defend Scratchensniff in court whether he wants it or not.

Cat on a Hot Steel Beam

Mindy chases a kitten through a construction zone with Buttons close behind.

There are also a few funny Mime Time bits.

15)

Space Probed

The Warners are abducted for alien experiments. Those poor evil aliens don’t know what they’re getting themselves into.

-Lots of sci-fi jokes in this one.

Battle For The Planet

Pinky and the Brain try to recreate the panic caused by the radio reenactment of War of the Worlds.

16)

Chalkboard Bungle

The Warners are sent to school to face a strict teacher. Sucks to be her.

Hurray For Slappy

Slappy is being honored for her lifetime achievements and her adversaries are jealous. They set out to stop the ceremony with a bang.

The Great Wakkorotti: The Master And His Music

Wakko performs an unusual concert.

17)

Roll Over Beethoven

The Warners face off against classical composer Ludwig Von Beethoven who can’t think of a tune for his next great movement (no, I meant MUSICAL movement!).

The Cat & The Fiddle

A violin maker has his eyes on Rita’s guts for his next great violin creation.

We also get a couple of Good Idea Bad Idea segments.

18)

Pavlov’s Mice

As Pinky and the Brain attempt their next world take-over they are hindered by their involuntary conditioning by Pavlov.

Chicken Boo Ryshnikov

Who is this world famous ballet dancer? Some say he's a chicken.

Nothing But The Tooth

Rasputin (John Glover) is controlling the Russian czar with hypnotism, but now he faces dentistry – Warner style.

19)

Meatballs Or Consequences

Wakko is claimed by Death, but his siblings have made it their mission to convince Death that the trio should stay together.

-There's a lot of Bill & Ted influence here.

A Moving Experience

Flavio and Marita decide they are tired of the jungle and want to move to the city. The zoologist studying them doesn’t think they’ll be safe there and tries to prevent the move. It sucks to be her.

Dot treats us to a Little Miss Muffett poem.

20)

Hearts of Twilight

An insane director is wasting studio money. Studio CEO Mr. Plotz sends the Warners to stop him. Wait until you see the secret powers the Warners possess.

The Boids

The Goodfeathers get roles in Alfred Hitchcock’s movie The Birds. They think they’re stars, but they’re actually stunt birds.

To go along with the Birds we get an Alfred Hitchcock Show opening parody.

21)

The Flame

A day in the life of a flame on a candle. A patriotic piece with only light comedy.

Wakko’s America

Wakko sings the names of the 50 states and their capitols to "Turkey in the Straw."

Davy Omelette

Mighty big frontier’s man. He can stare down a bear, but some say he’s just a chicken.

4 Score & 7 Migraines Ago

The Warners want President Lincoln’s autograph and end up helping him write a little speech.

22)

Guardin’ the Garden

What would have happened if Slappy were guarding the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden?

Plane Pals

The Warners meet a business man that doesn’t want to be their friend.

We get to see the Newsreal of the Stars.

23)

Be Careful What You Eat

A song about the funny stuff they put in candy bars.

Up The Crazy River

Buttons and Mindy go for a little swim – in piranha infested waters.

Ta Da Dump Ta Da Dump Ta Da Dump Dump Dump

The Goodfeathers find a garbage gold mine, but it’s in pelican territory.

24)

Warner’s World Of Baldness

Yakko wants to shave you bald and spray paint your head, unless you prefer to have Wakko personally gnaw out your follicles with his bare teeth.

Opportunity Knox

Pinky and the Brain attempt to steal the gold from Fort Knox.

Wings Take Heart

A bug falls in love with a lady bug but nature gets in the way. He must brave rain and trucks to get back to his woman.

We get some more Good Idea Bad Ideas.

25)

Disasterpiece Theatre

Yakko introduces the show in destructive fashion.

Hercule Yakko

Marita’s jewelry is missing. It’s up to the Warner detectives to find out which Animaniacs character took it. Most if not all regular characters put in an appearance (including some that won’t have full segments until next season such as Minerva Mink).

Home On De Nile

Rita is revered as a goddess, but her worshipers may have intentions that don’t agree with her. This time it’s Runt in the know, and it’s up to him to rescue the oblivious Rita.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

The Warners act out a scene from Shakespeare’s classic play – with helpful interpretation.
