Batman Beyond season 2 has 26 episodes.

1) Splicers

Gene splicing to gain animal attributes for vanity is a growing trend. When some of the spliced start attacking people Batman goes to check on the man behind it. With Terry injected and changing into something inhuman Commissioner Gordon and her husband make the villain’s hit list.

-The idea of gene splicing fits well in the Batman universe and provides for some interesting villains. The ending is a little too similar to another episode, though.

-Ice T guest stars.

2) Earth Mover

Dana’s friend feels like she’s being watched. When Terry investigates he’s attacked by a golem, not a robot this time but a genuine mud creature. There’s more to this thing than simple villainy, though, and a troublesome explanation for its actions.

-Some of the images in this one rival some of the creepy moments in X Files. I’m actually surprised this made it on to a kids’ network. The villainy at work is not standard action-cartoon characterization, either. This is one of the best episodes of the series.

3) Joyride

A versatile and dangerously faulty military vehicle is stolen by a gang of Jokerz. Even the Batwing has a hard time keeping up. Batman has to team up with a government agent whose reluctance to share her knowledge may get them and a lot of other people killed.

-Wendie Malick guest stars.

4) Lost Soul

A technology mogul has built a computer based on his brain waves, but nobody realized how powerful this program would be. It’s taking over everything computerized, including the Bat suit!

5) Hidden Agenda

A vicious new Jokerz gang is terrorizing the town, and the leader wants Max. Max, meanwhile, is searching for the identity of her stalker suspecting Terry because of his strange behavior.

-It’s a good story about parental acceptance and emotional needs.

6) Blood Sport

A jungle hunter (think Kraven) is in town for Batman’s head, and he’s not above kidnapping Matt to get to his prey.

-A little bit weaker story especially in the origins of the Stalker, but we get to see some development of Terry’s relationship with his brother.

7) Once Burned

Ten is back in town, but she claims her life is different now. Melanie is back in Terry’s life as well. He’s convinced Melanie is telling the truth about her new life, but when Wayne doesn’t trust her Batman and Ten team up in secret.

8) Hooked Up

There’s a new drug fad, but it’s not really a drug, it’s a VR utopia so real the mind doesn’t know the difference. Even good kids will do anything for more once they’re hooked, and Max is the new addict.

9) Rats

Dana is fed up with Terry’s inaccessibility, but she has a new admirer now, one that doesn’t mind kidnapping her. Batman now has to find her in the rat infested sewers below Gotham.

-I had hoped this was the start of more visibility for Dana, but it was not to be.

10) Mind Games

Terry sees a ghostly visage of a young girl needing help leading him to uncover a dangerous group of psychics. Fighting them is like being trapped in a bad dream, but he’s determined to help this kid.

-Kind of a spooky episode and one of my favorites of the series.

11) Revenant

A poltergeist appears to be haunting the school. It seems like an innocent urban legend at first, but turns dangerous. Even Batman can barely hold his own against a ghost, but he’s the only one that can figure out what’s really going on.

-Gedde Watanabe has a small role.

12) Babel

Shriek is back and wants revenge on Batman. He’s found a way to make speech unintelligible so that no one can understand what anyone else is saying. He will render speech in the entire city impossible if Batman doesn’t give himself up.

-There is some exceptionally good music here.

13) Terry's Friend Dates A Robot

Howard can’t come to grips with his lack of popularity. In a stroke of luck (mixed with stupidity) he gets a drop-dead gorgeous girlfriend. The trouble is she’s a robot with enormous strength and no morals outside her programming. It proves to be a dangerous combination.

-It sounds like a goofy episode but is not as bad as that.

-Dan Castellaneta has a cameo.

14) Eyewitness

Terry spoils a police stakeout and gets on Gordon’s bad side. When she sees Batman kill Mad Stan she doesn’t hesitate to unleash the full force of the police on him. Only one person believes Terry is innocent, but he’s confined to a cave.

-You knew Batman would have to go up against the police sooner or later.

15) Final Cut

Curare is hunting down the other Society of Assassins members. After being stopped by Batman she became a target, and her only way out is to strike first. The last member seeks out Batman’s protection, but ensures it with a bomb ready to blow up half the city. When Curare gets to him Terry and Max are forced to go on a near impossible mission of finding the explosives before it’s too late.

-Tim Curry guest stars.

16) The Last Resort

A juvenile rehab ranch is the new popular way to deal with troubled teens, even if that trouble is not much more than a mild disagreement with an adult. Suspicious of what’s really going on there Terry breaks in only to become their next reluctant resident. Can they break the will of the Batman?

-As good as this one is it really could have been exceptional with an extended timeslot. It's a great concept that could be powerful with more exploration.

17) Armory

Wayne-Powers’ best weapons designer is fired suddenly putting his lavish way of life in danger. His only hope is a less-than-honest weapons construction deal. Now at odds with the law he has to face Batman. Who has the better gadgets? Is his lifestyle worth the risk and worth killing a hero?

18) Sneak Peek

A gossip talk show gets impossibly up close and personal. The host, Ian Peek, doesn’t care whose lives he disrupts or even destroys as long as he gets the scoop. His next big story is the identity of Batman. What will Wayne and Terry do to protect their secret?

-Michael McKean guest stars.

19) The Eggbaby

Ma Mayhem and her boys are on a crime spree. Batman has to stop them, but he’s got one hand tied behind his back, an electronic baby Terry has to watch constantly; failure to do so means failure in the class.

-It’s a more light-hearted episode and not as good as some of the others, but I like it.

-Andy Dick and Mark Rolston guest star.

20) Zeta

Batman gets caught up in a battle between a renegade robot with morphing capabilities and the agency that wants it back. But who’s in the right on this one?

-Gary Cole plays Zeta.

21) Plague

Kobra (an organized crime syndicate) is out to destroy the city with a dangerous virus. Terry is forced to team up with Stalker to stop them. Can the two really work together as a team?

22) April Moon

There’s a new villainous team in town with robotic enhancements that are bad news for Batman. Terry goes after the scientist that made them, but soon realizes the stakes are more complicated than he first realized.

-A pleasantly disturbing ending for this one. This is the episode that got me interested in the show in the first place and remains a favorite of the series.

-Daphne Zuniga and Ed Begley, Jr. guest star.

23) Sentries Of The Last Cosmos

Terry’s friend is the master of a simulator vid game and as a result is inducted into a team of real commandos (think The Last Starfighter). Batman ends up having to take on a group of video game geeks which is tougher than it sounds. Could there really be an alien influence here?

24) Payback

Payback thinks he’s a hero in the same league as Batman, but his methods and motives are questionable putting him odds with the dark knight despite his claims of doing good. In order to unravel the mystery Terry finds himself in psychological therapy.

-While a good concept the story isn’t as strong as it needs to be.

-Mitch Pileggi guest stars.

25) Where's Terry

Terry follows a mysterious figure into the underground and vanishes. Even Wayne can’t find him. Wayne reluctantly takes on a new partner, Max, but she doesn’t know what she’s getting herself into.

26) Ace In The Hole

Ace attacks a man on the street, and Terry can’t stop him from running off. As Terry hunts for him the story of Ace unfolds.

-A nice bit of character development for the Bathound.
