The live action Tick series consists of a total of 9 episodes.

1) Pilot

The Tick is a noble but dimwitted superhero. Arthur wants to try the life of a hero giving up his job to do so. He stumbles across an evil plot involving a robotic assassin who is after Jimmy Carter. Here comes the Tick to save the day!

-Tick ravages Arthur’s apartment much in the same way as he did in the cartoon pilot. There are other similarities to the toon pilot as well. Barry Sonnenfeld, Ben Edlund, and Christopher Lloyd have cameos.

2) The Terror

Arthur is not ready for the life of a superhero. Tick gives him a boost in the right direction, but finds himself in a conflicting situation: he needs a nemesis to truly be a superhero himself. He calls up the Terror striking fear in the hearts of the other heroes of the city. The Terror is the most evil villain he could possibly have called, except that time has taken its toll on this fearsome man.

-The Terror is a recognizable Tick villain but is not done as well here as he was in the toon.

3) Arthur Interrupted

Arthur decides it’s time to tell his family about his life. They think he’s plum crazy; so crazy that they have him committed to the loony bin where the staff has a few less bricks in their walls than the patients.

-Dave Foley guest stars. Dot (who was also in the toon) shows up played by Lisa Fredrickson.

4) The License

Tick does not have a hero license. When he goes to get one he can’t recall anything about himself other than being the Tick. When his wife shows up to claim him Arthur is a little jealous.

-It's an amusing but weak premise.

5) Arthur Needs Space

Arthur meets up with a college hottie. He leaves the Tick behind for a date and the promise of some bed sheet limbo, but Tick can’t grasp Arthur’s intentions.

6) Couples

The duo meets another pair of crime fighters who have major issues between them. It makes Arthur reevaluate his relationship with the Tick.

-Ron Perlman guest stars as Fiery Blaze. Other heroes (sidekicks really) show up, including the Fish Prince who was also in the cartoon, but they don’t do much.

7) The Funeral

The Immortal, legendary superhero, is in town. Liberty is his escort and ends up killing him with sex. The Tick gets pulled into a cover-up conspiracy. He can’t quite grasp the concept of death.

-The cartoon characters would have never acted in such an unheroic fashion… OK, maybe Die Fledermaus would, I guess.

8) Tick Vs Justice

Destroyo is on trial. The Tick doesn’t understand the judicial system and thinks it is anti-justice especially when he is tossed in jail for contempt of court. Now Arthur and Batmanuel fear for their lives without Tick to protect them.

-This is one of the better stories focusing on the conflict between Tick and the court system.

9) The Big Leagues

Tick and Arthur are asked to join the elite League of Superheroes. The League is not shy about discrimination and is not all it’s cracked up to be. Liberty starts up a law suit and the insectile duo has to decide whose side they are going to take: old friends or new.

-Not much of a wrap up to the series, but it's an amusing episode.
