"Extreme Ghostbusters" ran for 40 episodes which includes 2 2-parters.
1) Darkness At Noon Part 1
Egon is teaching a college class on the paranormal. Ghost activity is down to nothing, not counting Slimer, of course, thanks to the efforts of the OGB's (Original Ghostbusters). That's about to change when a crew working under the city release a disease-spreading entity. With nobody else around to deal with these kinds of threats anymore the students step up.
2) Darkness At Noon Part 2
Kylie is possessed by an entity who is known to bring down civilizations. Even Egon has been infected with her plague. The newly formed team of students is the only chance to stop her, but their inexperience makes the job harder.
3) The True Face Of A Monster
Hoodlums defacing a Jewish temple are attacked by a hulking golem. The Ghostbusters are up to the challenge, but the Rabbi seems to have something to hide. Meanwhile Garrett reconnects with some old buddies who are bad news. They want revenge for what happened to their friends, and Garrett is caught up in criminal activity he didn't sign up for.
-This pulls from the golem from Jewish folklore.
4) Fear Itself
In the basement of an old building lives a creature who causes people to come face to face with their worst fears. When the Ghostbusters investigate they are separated and put in the worst situations they can imagine.
5) Deadliners
A group of grotesquely mutilated humanoids are creating more of their own kind by capturing and altering innocent people. The Ghostbusters head out to the mansion of a famous writer of horror novels. The creatures bear a striking resemblance to the creations in these books. Meanwhile Garrett tries his own hand at writing a horror action story.
-This has a "Hellraiser" influence.
6) Casting The Runes
A powerful demon gives a criminal the ability to mark any person. That person is “chosen” to be carried into another dimension where they are forced to serve a demigod. When Eduardo becomes one of the victims the only way to save him is for the whole team to venture into the underworld.
7) The Infernal Machine
A spirit who prefers to inhabit machines needs someone to build a particular one to house him - a machine of ultimate destruction. When Roland gets mad at his teammates he becomes easily influenced by the spirit. To make matters worse he is now cannibalizing all of the team's equipment leaving them with limited options to fight a real menace.
8) Home Is Where The Horror Is
The team investigates a haunted house. They suspect that the entities within are planning to feast on the children that have vanished in the house. They only have a few hours to find the missing kids before they are devoured. If the ghosts can't have the kids, they will settle for eating Ghostbusters.
-In some ways this is one of the creepiest stories of the series.
9) Killjoys
Demon clowns are devouring people that laugh at them. The Ghostbusters team is hit hard when Eduardo is infected and Roland is consumed.
-This one reminds me a lot of "Killer Klowns from Outer Space."
10) The Unseen
A demon appears to take the eyes of anyone that looks at a particular orb. The Ghostbusters have to do something before it is unveiled before a crowd of museum patrons. Meanwhile Kylie and Eduardo lose their proton guns so they are off on a non-ghost mission of recovery, but someone bad has gotten a hold of them. Now most of the team is in jail due to crimes committed with their proton guns and the rest of them have been disarmed.
11) The Crawler
A bug demon is infecting people with its larvae. What's worse is that he wants a human queen. Janine is feeling particularly unappreciated by Egon lately and so becomes the object of the demon's affections. The Ghostbusters will have to save her before she loses all her humanity.
12) The Pied Piper Of Manhattan
The Ghostbusters face an attack that is immune to the proton streams. The mayor in an attempt to snub the Ghostbusters hires a strange man who shows up at just the right time claiming he can solve the problem with his music. But when he raises his demands the city can't pay up. So he threatens to lure all the kids out of town unless he gets what he wants.
13) Be Careful What You Wish For
A creepy salesman offers to fulfill a person's any wish. Only the wishes always turn out negative instead of positive. Eduardo is zapped into the body of Kylie's cat, an enlightening but embarrassing experience. With the threat of being trapped inside a cat forever, the one who has always been the slacker must now outsmart the master of wishes.
-Eduardo proves that he can step up when need be.
14) Grease
A gremlin is causing all sorts of havoc by disassembling machinery. Garrett is enamored by the FBI agents that show up to investigate but quickly gets disillusioned when they figure the Ghostbusters as a terrorist organization responsible for all the trouble. Arrested and on a plane back to Washington the FBI release the gremlin who starts dismantling the plane they are on while in mid-flight.
-There are some obvious "X-Files" nods.
15) The Jersey Devil
The Ghostbusters set out on what they think will be a leisure trip, but along the way they are attacked by the Jersey Devil, a flying demon with the ability to rust metal away to nothing with his breath. The town blames the kids for “JD's” reemergence. The team wants to help but faced with such a powerful thing without their equipment and in a town full of people who would are just fine with sacrificing them to satiate the Devil the challenges are mounted against them.
16) Dry Spell
A deep sea diving expedition picks up a ghost in an ancient, sunken city. It drains people dry leaving little more than husks behind. During the battle the team makes a marine biologist friend who wants to study the captured ghost himself. Eduardo gives him his chance, and he swipes one of the traps. Now the team is in a bind with a stolen ghost on the loose.
17) Sonic Youth
Syren, the hottest music sensation around, is actually a siren luring people with her song and stealing their youth for her banshee sister. When Roland falls under her spell he begins working against the team as they try to capture the sisters who are already trouble enough on their own.
-The singing actually is quite good though Syren asking over and over to not make her do what her sister makes her do while continuing to do it over and over does gets old.
18) Ghost Apocalyptic Future
Kylie is caught in a time rift that puts her years into the future where a spirit called Tempest has essentially enslaved all humanity and destroyed the world as we know it. Meanwhile a guy from the future is sent back and gives the Ghostbusters a glimpse into their future. But because the time divide has split Tempest he can't be trapped normally, Egon has to find a way to rip time and stop the ghost apocalypse.
-I'm not sure why Tempest's past self knows more about what's going on than his future self does.
19) Bird Of Prey
A kid, desperate because a drought is making it hard for his family to grow the crops they need to survive, calls forth a dragon to make it rain. At first it appears to be a good thing, but the dragon soon begins causing destructive weather patterns. It's up to the Ghostbusters to stop it, but their equipment doesn't work on actual weather.
20) Seeds Of Destruction
An ancient and sentient seed is brought to the city. It begins growing at an impossible rate and eating anyone it can. Defeating a ghost is one thing, defeating an evil plant is another.
21) The Luck Of The Irish
A genuine leprechaun is released from confinement and sets out to reclaim the gold he says was taken from him. It doesn't matter to him that the people he's attacking have no idea what he's talking about, he'll trap their souls anyway. Garrett doesn't believe in luck, but it seems that he has been cursed to the point that the others consider him a liability. His rotten luck is giving them a harder time than the evil leprechaun.
22) The Ghostmakers
Ghosts living in a mirror world are able to displace the souls of victims and take over their bodies. Even Slimer isn't immune even though he's already a ghost. The displaced spirits can't be detected with the normal Ghostbusting equipment which is bad news for them because one of the evil entities has taken over Eduardo who is now doing all he can to make sure the others get hijacked as well.
23) Slimer's Sacrifice
Trying to prove himself Slimer ends up allowing himself to be trapped in order to keep everything in the containment unit from escaping. One of the Ghostbusters must go into the unit to save him. Eduardo volunteers after being mean to him. He's in a land of familiar ghosts that don't like him very much at all. Meanwhile Fenris begins transforming the rest of the team into his servants to bring about the end of the world.
24) Grundelesque
The Grundle, a monster that the OGB's captured years ago, is back and luring kids to its side. As the team investigates Kylie discovers she has a personal connection to this case from a long time ago which pushes her to take extreme measures. Roland's little brother hinders the investigation with his pranks which puts him in the sights of the Grundle as his next special victim.
-This is quite possibly the most unsettling episode of the series. It's also the only sequel (not counting 2-parters).
25) In Your Dreams
Something is invading people's dreams turning them into nightmares so violent that they injure themselves in their sleep to the point of needing hospitalization. A late night radio talk show host is somehow tied to the events so the team, suffering from their own nightmarish fears, set out to take the man off the air.
-The episode doesn't really do a good job with the injuries inflicted on the sleeping victims. They look more like infected splotches. I initially thought they were getting some kind of infection, not injuries.
26) Moby Ghost
A whale-like ghost tears through the town causing destruction and disrupting electrical systems everywhere it goes. Trying to stave off disaster the team heads out after it only to realize someone is already in pursuit. It's a harpoon-bearing captain of a ghost ship who in his own way is a Ghostbuster. He's determined to stop the whale ghost, but he doesn't want the team of kids getting in his way. While the Ghostbusters are better equipped their stuff doesn't work in the presence of the whale. It'll take the ghost buster and the Ghostbusters together to stop this thing if they can work together long enough to accomplish anything.
-This is a nice character moment for Roland who doesn't react well to his equipment not working.
27) Fallout
Miners unleash a radioactive beast that can feed on protons. As its mass grows it threatens to reach lethal radioactive levels, but how is the team supposed to fight it when their equipment just makes it stronger? Back home Janine leaves to visit her sister leaving Egon alone who quickly proves he can't keep the place running without her.
28) Eyes Of A Dragon
The daughter of a Chinese business owner who is being intimidated by gangsters discovers gems that give her the ability to give life to inanimate objects to serve as her protectors. When she takes the gems she unknowingly releases a bone-stealing spirit who takes up residence in her father. The team is fighting animated objects, bone monsters, and dragon demons all in one case.
29) Till Death Do Us Start
An evil wishing well sends an undead bride after a lonely man. He seeks the help of the Ghostbusters. But when Kylie decides to draw the jealous ghost bride out by flirting with their client Eduardo gets quite a bit jealous himself.
30) Glutton For Punishment
Contaminated food is making people eat uncontrollably while a spirit feeds off the energy that creates. As the team tracks down the source of the trouble Slimer is infected and becomes a dangerous eating machine.
31) Ghost In The Machine
A spirit inhabiting oil possess vehicles turning them into wheeled demons. The Ecto 1 is infected right as Eduardo is taking his drivers test trapping him inside. When the team tries to take down the infecting spirit they find that it's not a simple task.
-The substory with Janine wanting to open a bakery side business doesn't really go anywhere
32) Dog Days
Dogs are acting strangely all around the city. It's as if they are possessed with some becoming downright dangerous. The team can't handle the number of calls coming in so their only hope is to find the source of the issue. But there's something worse than strange dogs about. Meanwhile Garrett and Kylie try to help Roland with his non-existent love life.
33) Mole People
Monsters are feeding on the city's energy down in the subway tunnels. But who wants to believe in monsters? Everyone wants to blame it on a group of people who live beneath the streets referred to as “mole people.” Garrett befriends the daughter of a man arrested for the trouble. He must prove the man's innocence to impress his new friend.
34) A Temporary Insanity
Janine feels unappreciated around the office and decides to take an impromptu vacation. Desperate for help Egon hires a temp named Lilith who appears to be a godsend. Janine doesn't trust her, but the team loves her. Outside the office they battle an infestation of electric leeches that remain elusive.
35) Rage
Eduardo's family troubles come to the forefront when Egon comes to stay with him. Eduardo's brother doesn't think much of the Ghostbusters and is ready to kick his own brother out for being one. But when Eduardo's nephew incurs the wrath of a troll the Ghostbusters are his only hope.
36) Heart Of Darkness
A weapons facility is the victim of a little B&E and the perps are ghosts. As the team tries to figure out why ghosts would care about turning petty criminal they uncover a larger plot involving someone that seems to have Egon's level of knowledge of the paranormal.
37) Back In The Saddle Part 1
Egon is in for a surprise for his birthday this year, the old team has returned to hang out. When a call comes in the kids are intimidated by how good the old guys are, and the original team starts talking about getting back together. It'll take both teams to defeat a ghost that multiplies whenever they try to trap it.
38) Back In The Saddle Part 2
With disaster averted the Ghostbusters young and old kick back for some R&R until a fog tries to eat them. Tracing the path of the fog they discover that the Bermuda Triangle is the result of an entity that devours whatever happens to venture close enough to it. Now it has grown too large and is trying to expand its territory. The whole city of New York is in danger of being consumed unless the Ghostbusters can find a way to stop it, but their current equipment can't handle something that size.
39) The Sphinx
The team goes up against a mythological monster who steals the intelligence of anyone who can't answer its riddles. Egon insists on coming along, he is feeling like he is getting old and useless and intends to prove his worth, but instead he just gets in the way.
-Here's a nice bit of conflict between the aging Egon and the disabled Garrett.
40) Witchy Women
3 girls are using occult rituals to call up a demon who gives them power to take revenge on those who have wronged them and promises them more power if they can find another person to complete the full ritual. They seek out Kylie who must be a true believer as a Ghostbuster, but she knows that fooling with these kinds of entities is a bad idea. Eduardo, who has taken a liking to one of the girls despite her bad attitude, is easier to manipulate.
-This is the first episode with anything along the lines of real occult rituals though it's presented as a very bad idea.
